How to use a VPN to access Netflix

You can start streaming US Netflix by following these instructions:

1. Choose, sign up and pay for a VPN provider, we recommend NordVPN.
2. Download and install the VPN app for the device of your choice
3. Log into the app

1. Turn off GPS and any other location services on your computer, smartphone, or browser. If you’ve given Netflix permission to view your location in the past, you’ll need to toggle this off in your browser settings.

3. Disable IPv6. This is particularly useful for Windows 10 users, who can turn off IPv6 in your Wifi Properties within the Network Manager. Afterward, you may need to restart your device.
4. Flush the DNS cache. In Windows, run Command Prompt in Administrator mode and type in: ipconfig /flushdns
5. Log out of any Google accounts, including the one on Chrome browser if you use it. Google caches IP addresses, which can reveal your actual location.
6. Change your device’s time zone to the country in which you’re trying to access Netflix. Spain has two time zones: UTC+0 and UTC+1.
7. If you are connected to a wifi network and have access to the router, rename the wifi network (SSID). Append “nomap” at the end (no quotes). For example: “comparitechnomap”. This will opt your wifi network out of Google’s geolocation services. You will need to reconnect your device to the new network in order to regain internet access.
