Security Engineer / Researcher

Comparitech’s security research team hunts for the latest threats on the Internet and dark web; researching and discovering new vulnerabilities and attacks in popular consumer products. We responsibly disclose all vulnerabilities to the affected parties. Once any vulnerabilities have been fixed we publish an article to raise awareness of the issue with users and inform them how to take appropriate action to mitigate risks.

We’ve identified and disclosed issues across mobile apps, website plugins, cloud services and NAS devices.

Think of our work as similar to Google’s Project Zero although on a much smaller scale.

We’re looking for experienced, reliable security engineers to join us on our mission to make the web a safer place.

We’re accepting both generalists who have experience in reverse engineering attacks across a wide range of areas, as well as specialists who are highly experienced in specific areas, for example malware analysis.

You will need strong analytical skills and be confident presenting your findings to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Experience with Python would be an advantage.

This role may involve dealing with sensitive data so demands a high level of integrity, operating within privacy regulations and adherence to industry best practices and ethics.
