Scheduled for September 8, 2018, the next major event in MMA will be UFC 228: Woodley vs. Till. The fight card for UFC 228 is pretty extensive, with over a dozen matches leading up to the main event between Tyrone Woodley and Darren Till. If you’re trying to watch on Kodi, however, you’re going to be out of luck.
The only official way to watch UFC 228 on Kodi is if you have a PlayStation Vue account and the PS Vue Kodi addon installed. Even then, you’ll only be able to watch the Preliminary matches through PS Vue’s FX channel stream, and even then, only in the US. There are multiple unofficial addons which are likely to show the fight, such as UK Turk Playlist, Sportsdevil, or Nemesis, but they carry significant risks and are likely to have low-grade coverage. More on this later.
Below, we’ll explore more about the UFC 228 event, where Kodi falls into your viewing options, and where you can find some alternative viewing sources.
Bypass content restrictions with a VPN
If you plan to watch UFC 228 Woodley vs. Till this September, you will probably need to connect to a paid broadcasting option. There are several options that exist, but any option you choose will be easily exposed to ISP monitoring.
Regardless of what sites or addons you’re using, your ISP can see your streaming activity. Many ISPs will throttle user data and some may take action against users connected to unofficial streams.
For Kodi users, IPVanish is the best solution to hide streaming activities. You’ll find IPVanish works well with Kodi to prevent ISPs from seeing any streaming traffic and eliminates ISP speed throttling for high-quality video streams. It also masks your identity online completely through heavy encryption and prevents spying from man-in-the-middle attacks. IPVanish has thousands of servers across the world that make it easy to get past geographic content restrictions on any addon you’re using.
READER DEAL: Save up to 60% on IPVanish here. This includes a 7-day money-back guarantee so you can try the service risk-free.
Warning: Kodi should only be used for content to which you have the legal right to access. Neither the Kodi Foundation nor Comparitech advocates the use of Kodi for piracy.
Are there Kodi addons for UFC 228 Woodley vs. Till?
As stated earlier, there are unfortunately no good streaming options for UFC 228 on Kodi. At present, the UFC 228 fight card can be accessed through the following options:
- US: UFC Fight Pass (Early Prelim), FX (Prelim), Pay-Per-View (Main Card)
- Canada: Pay-Per-View
- UK: BT Sport
- Australia: Pay-Per-View
- Germany: UFC Fight Pass
Depending on where you live, the only legitimate options for watching UFC 228 are FX (US preliminary matches), UFC Fight Pass (US early preliminary matches), and Pay-Per-View. For most locations, Pay-Per-View is going to be the go-to option for streaming the main card and other events.
In the US, you can get access to FX if you sign up to PlayStation Vue. However, the service is somewhat costly, and you’ll only be able to get the Preliminary matches — not the Early Prelims, and not the Main Card.
There are no Kodi addons available that will give you functional access to any viable streaming options.
If you want to watch UFC 228, you will need to use one of the alternative streaming sources listed above.

Avoid unofficial Kodi addons and streams
As there are no legitimate streaming addons available for UFC 228, some users may attempt to use unofficial addons to stream the fight card. You will likely find that there are no unofficial addons that offer a quality streaming experience through Kodi for the coming matches. Those addons that do exist should be avoided for both privacy and security concerns, among other reasons.
Illegal Kodi addons you will want to avoid include:
- UK Turk Playlist
- cCloud TV
- Planet MMA
There are others you may see recommended elsewhere. However, the chances of those addons working are slim to none, and you may be putting yourself at risk of downloading malware through the addons themselves. Some developers have also inserted monitoring code into their addons to skim data from users or hijack user connections.
Those issues aside, unofficial addons may provide streams to copyrighted material. Such streaming may be illegal in your area, depending on local and national laws. For a more secure experience, it is best to use only official sources for UFC 228.
UFC 228 live streams, schedule, and broadcasters
Woodley vs. Till is the headline match going into the UFC 228 event. There are also some other main card events that you may want to catch, including the Women’s Flyweight between Montaño and Shevchenko.
