PBS Kids offers a huge range of family-friendly content but the website only allows you to watch the latest episode of each show. That’s where the PBS Kids addon for Kodi comes in: while this addon doesn’t include a live stream, it lets you watch over 30 different shows on-demand, many of which have several episodes available.
Although less savory add-ons like Yoda or Exodus might offer some PBS Kids shows, we don’t recommend using these. To begin with, these add-ons collect content hosted online, regardless of whether it’s from an official source or not. There’s no guarantee that content will be labeled correctly, meaning you’re taking a risk every time you load a video.
Additionally, these add-ons aren’t designed with children in mind and as such, often include content that’s inappropriate for younger viewers. In contrast, PBS Kids only offers children’s shows and best of all, it’s completely free to use, so there’s no need to look anywhere else.
Warning: Kodi should only be used for content to which you have the legal right to access. Neither the Kodi Foundation nor Comparitech advocates the use of Kodi for piracy.
Why you should always use a VPN with Kodi
It’s important to use a VPN when streaming with Kodi. Your online activities aren’t private, and depending on the network you’re using, they could be monitored by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your employer, hackers, or even the government. Further, some ISPs have been known to limit the internet speeds of customers who frequently watch video online.
VPNs prevent this kind of snooping by encrypting your traffic, ensuring that any observers only see a meaningless jumble of data. They also allow you to access region-locked sites and services like PBS Kids wherever you are. Whenever you connect to a server, you’re given a new, temporary IP address from the country your chosen server is in. As most geo-restricted streaming platforms can’t tell the difference between a VPN user and someone who’s actually in the required country, you’ll be able to use the otherwise blocked service from anywhere.
Choosing the right VPN is vital, though, especially as many are too slow for high-definition streaming. We recommend IPVanish. It’s a fast, secure VPN with hundreds of US servers, a no-logs policy, and a high connection limit. Further, IPVanish includes apps for Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire devices.
BEST VPN FOR KODI:IPVanish is ideal for Kodi. It’s lightweight, with consistently high speeds and a strong commitment to your privacy. It even comes with a seven-day money-back guarantee, meaning you can try it risk-free.

What is the PBS Kids Kodi addon?
Simply, this add-on scrapes content from PBS Kids enabling you to watch it whenever you’d like. It’s as user-friendly as addons come as there are no customizable settings, and only two menus: one where you choose the show you want to watch, and one where you pick a specific episode. Kodi addons aimed at children often offer a large selection of titles, but you’ll usually find that some don’t load. While PBS Kids works perfectly, for the most part, there are three shows (Clifford the Big Red Dog, Dot’s Spot, and Maya & Miguel) that have no episodes available.
The PBS Kids Kodi add-on currently includes 32 different shows. It’s worth noting, however, that only episodes which have recently aired are available. This means that if you’re looking for something to keep the kids occupied for a while, you’ll have to choose your show carefully (at the time of writing, Let’s Go Luna! and Pinkalicious and Peterrific had 14 episodes each and Fizzy’s Lunch Lab had 19). All titles are available in 720p resolution and subtitles are available.
