It’s here! Super Bowl LV (55) will live stream on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Kickoff starts at 6:30 PM EST / 11:30 PM GMT, so make sure you have your wings, popcorn, and streaming service ready to go. The Kansas City Chiefs return for the ultimate NFL matchup, this time facing down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their ex-Patriots QB, Tom Brady. Fans worldwide can watch this game live online from anywhere, including abroad in most countries.
Please note that we will only be recommending official sources. The Super Bowl is a commonly-pirated event, despite easy access. Illegitimate and unlicensed Super Bowl streams are typically offered on sites that carry potentially malicious advertisements and are often very laggy with poor video streaming quality. Super Bowl LV (55) will be available from official sources for free and in HD, meaning there’s no need to turn to unlicensed and poor-quality video streaming options.
The Super Bowl 2021 game will only be available through region-locked streaming sources. To watch the game for free in most countries or while traveling abroad outside the US, you’ll likely need a VPN connection to access your home services.

We recommend testing your VPN prior to the 6:30 PM EST start time to ensure you have an effective connection and content blocking bypass.
How to watch Super Bowl LV on US TV
Super Bowl broadcast networks change every year. CBS and NBC swapped years, so if you’re in the US, you can live stream the 2021 Superbowl on CBS All Access, or through any other option that carries the CBS broadcast network.
US fans with an over-the-air antenna can watch Super Bowl LV live streaming free and in HD. However, many fans likely won’t or can’t just go buy and install an OTA antenna for watching the Super Bowl.
Here are some online streaming alternatives for Super Bowl LV:
Locast – Free option
Locast is a free, local TV streaming option that lets you view broadcasts fully online that would normally only be available through a paid cable package or over-the-air with a TV antenna. The service is currently only available in the following cities:
- Los Angeles
- New York
- Rapid City
- San Francisco
- Sioux City
- Sioux Falls
- Tampa Bay
- West Palm Beach
- Washington D.C.
You may be able to access these streams if you live in a suburb of these cities, as well. Access is determined by your zip code. You can stream Locast directly from Locast.org, or through the Locast app.
Streaming through Locast is always free, although you may get irritated by the number of content breaks requesting a donation to the service. However, a small donation of as little as $5 will put a stop to that, and you can then enjoy watching Super Now 55 on Locast without any interruptions (except for commercials from the channels, of course).
If you’re abroad, you cannot use a VPN to access Locast. This service currently blocks all VPNs.
Live TV streaming services
There are a handful of live TV streaming services that you subscribe offering a 7-day free trial. The following services carry local FOX affiliates in many regions across the US:
- fuboTV – CBS available in all packages
- Sling TV – CBS available through Sling Blue

- Hulu + Live TV – CBS available through service’s single package
- AT&T TV – CBS available in all packages
If you’re abroad, you may be able to use these services with a VPN. A US payment method will be required. We recommend NordVPN, which offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. You’ll be able to get a full refund after the game.
Not interested in these services, or need other free alternatives? US fans may be able to use a VPN to bypass to access free streams in the UK or paid streams in other locations.
How to watch Super Bowl 55 in Australia
Last year was good times with the Super Bowl available on free-to-air 7Mate. for 2021, however, you’ll need to turn to a different source: Kayo. The Kayo sports streaming service will carry all of the Super Bowl LV event. You can sign up with a 14-day free trial, just in time for the game, which airs on February 8 at 9:30 AM AEST.

How to watch Super Bowl 55 in the UK
Once again, NFL fans in the UK will be able to watch Super Bowl LV live through the BBC. The BBC has an on-going tradition of broadcasting the ultimate NFL competition for free through BBC One. UK-based sports fans, or anyone trying to connect to a UK stream, can also use the BBC iPlayer through the BBC website, or access the BBC live stream using the TVPlayer.com website.
Important Note: UK law requires a TV License to watch BBC content, either through the BBC iPlayer or other means, including third-party carriers like TV Player. The BBC iPlayer site will require you to either sign in or click to acknowledge that you have a TV License. TV Player does not ask about your TV License status, although a TV License is still implicitly required. Neither site requires verification of a TV License purchase, however. VPNs work with both sites for live streaming.
How to watch Super Bowl 55 in Canada
If you’re in Canada when the Super Bowl airs, your best option is a VPN and one of the services listed above.
However, you can still watch through DAZN Canada.
Watching through DAZN Canada will be the only free option for Canada NFL fans, however, thanks to the 30-day free trial. And that’s, of course, only if you’ve never used DAZN before in Canada.
A Canada-based IP address is required to watch the Super Bowl through DAZN Canada from abroad. If you have access to DAZN in another country, you may be able to use a VPN to connect to the Canadian version of the service. DAZN allows users from other countries to carry their accounts to different countries, although DAZN employs rather significant VPN blocking to prevent region hopping from abroad.
Note that DAZN does block many VPNs. NordVPN unblocked DAZN when we connected to Canadian servers in our testing.

Super Bowl 55 Predictions
There’s history in the making with this year’s Super Bowl. Under Tom Brady’s leadership, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be the first NFL team to compete in the Super Bowl on their home turf. That in itself is special enough, but this will also be Tom Brady’s 10th Super Bowl appearance. That officially leaves him double the number of the next most prolific Super Bowl QB in NFL history, John Elway.
That being the case, Brady and his Bucs aren’t going to give Mahomes and his Chiefs an easy time of it. While the Chiefs are coming off a fresh 2020 victory under Mahomes, the Kansas City QB has far less experience and fandom.
Nevertheless, Mahomes and his chiefs are seen as a powerhouse force right now. Betting odds are significantly in favor of a KC win, with -175 moneyline odds favoring the Mahomes-led team.
Betting odds don’t win games, though. Given Brady is has won 6 of his 9 Super Bowl appearances, he could easily his troops around that experience to pull out an odds-defying win against his young rival.
