How to watch Haikyuu!! in the US
Haikyuu!! is available for purchase in the US on Amazon Prime Video as individual episodes or entire seasons, in both standard and high definition.

As such it’s a great option for iconic anime shows like Haikyuu!! The free version requires sitting through adverts. The premium subscription, however, has a 14-day free trial — which could prove long enough to catch up on any missed Haikyuu!! episodes.
The downside to Crunchyroll is that not all shows are available in all countries. If you travel to a country and find that Crunchyroll is no longer working, you can use a VPN to connect to a server in your home country and resume streaming.

Haikyuu!!, meaning “volleyball” in Japanese kanji, is an anime series based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. The anime series Haikyuu!! started streaming in 2014 and ran for four seasons until 2020. Haikyuu!! tells the story of a boy named Shoyo Hinata who dreams of becoming a star volleyball player — despite being told that he’s too short to play.
Shoyo is inspired by a high school volleyball player nicknamed “The Little Giant” whose team makes it to the Nationals. In his junior year, Shoyo convinces his friends to join his school’s volleyball club so they too can form a team to compete. The series follows Shoyo’s progress as a player and his rivalry with Tobio Kageyama, a player from a competing high school.
In addition to its popularity as a TV show, the Haikyuu!! story has been adapted into a video game, a radio show, and a play to great success. It’s not just about volleyball, but is also a coming-of-age story. It focuses just as much on the friendships between the volleyball players as it does on the sport itself. In 2019, the American video game magazine Polygon called Haikyuu!! one of the best anime series of 2010.
