Chicago Fire season 10 is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, September 22, at 9 PM EST (6 PM PST). Fortunately, it hasn’t been too much of a wait for fans — the season 9 finale aired as recently as May 2021. Better still, the show has even been renewed for its eleventh season so there’s plenty more action to look forward to! However, before you can watch Chicago Fire online from abroad (outside the US), you’ll need to find out which networks are broadcasting it, and we’ll cover this below.
While you may encounter some unlicensed streams, we’re only recommending official sources for watching Chicago Fire season 10. That’s because some unauthorized sources can cause you to miss out on the season 10 premiere if they’re taken offline for copyright infringement. The fact that they also tend to offer low-resolution, lag-filled streams only makes them more unreliable. As such, your best bet is the official sources listed here.
Season 10 of Chicago Fire will only be streaming on region-locked platforms. To watch via your regular home streaming service while traveling abroad, you’ll need to connect to a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
How to watch Chicago Fire season 10 online with a VPN
A VPN works by encrypting your internet traffic and obscuring your actual IP address and location. Instead, you have a new IP address which makes it look as if you’re visiting a website from an entirely different location. The benefit of this is you can then access the streaming platforms showing Chicago Fire season 10 from anywhere.
Here’s how to live stream Chicago Fire season 10 from abroad using a VPN:
- Sign up with a VPN service. We recommend NordVPN. However, you can also stream with confidence with the equally reliable Surfshark and ExpressVPN.
- Next, you’ll need to download and install the VPN app that’s compatible with your streaming device. The above VPNs all allow multiple simultaneous connections.
- Open the VPN app before connecting to a server in the US. You’ll then have a US IP address and be able to access NBC even if you’re traveling abroad.
- Go to NBC and sign in via your TV provider. The content should then be accessible in your location! Note that we’ll also be covering cable-free options for watching.
- Having trouble? One potential fix is clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. Another option is to change your IP address by switching to another US server.
With Chicago Fire season 10 airing live on NBC, it’s a good idea to test your VPN ahead of time. While you’re unlikely to have too many issues, you can always get in touch with your VPN’s customer support if something does happen to come up.

How to watch Chicago Fire season 10 online in the US
Chicago Fire season 10 will premiere on NBC on September 22, at 9 PM EST. If you have a cable TV subscription that includes NBC, streaming the show is as easy as signing in via the NBC website or app — you’ll need to enter the same login details you use with your cable TV provider (this will be an email address or username as well as a password).
Fortunately, you can watch NBC cable-free via the following TV streaming services: FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV. The most affordable of these options is Sling TV which costs $10 (USD) for the first month and $35 a month thereafter. The other services cost $64.99 a month but Hulu and YouTube TV both have an offer in which you only pay $54.99 a month for the first three months. Other than Sling TV, all of the services above offer free trials for new customers.
The reason we haven’t yet mentioned Peacock (NBCUniversal’s streaming service) is that while it offers plenty of NBC content on-demand, you can’t use it to watch NBC live. However, new episodes are typically added the next day (in fact seasons 1–9 are available to stream in-demand). So if you don’t mind a short wait, you’ll be able to watch Chicago Fire season 10 on Peacock. To get this next-day access, you’ll need Peacock Premium ($4.99/month) or Peacock Premium Plus ($9.99/month).
NBC, Peacock, and TV streaming services such as Hulu and YouTube TV are region-locked and only available in the US. However, you can access them from anywhere by using a VPN to get a US IP address. You can always use NordVPN — it even comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, providing plenty of time for you to try it out risk-free.
Where else can I watch Chicago Fire season 10 online?
In Canada, Chicago Fire season 10 will be streaming on Citytv. What’s more, you don’t even have to sign in via your TV provider in order to access the live stream (sign in is only required for watching past episodes and seasons on-demand). Due to copyright restrictions, Citytv content is only available in Canada. To access it while on vacation, you should use a VPN to connect to a server in Canada and get a Canadian IP address.
While no UK premiere date has been announced as yet, we can expect Chicago Fire season 10 to be coming to Sky Witness in early 2022. This is based on how long the last few seasons have taken to arrive on UK TV screens following their US premiere. If you already have a Sky TV subscription, you’ll be able to watch Chicago Fire season 10 online at no extra cost. To do this, you only need to sign in to the Sky Go app.
It’s also possible to watch Sky contract-free via Now TV. This requires subscribing to its Entertainment package which costs £4.99 a month for the first three months before reverting back to the original price of £9.99 a month. A UK IP address is required to use Sky Go and Now from abroad due to the geographic restrictions in place.
What should I know about Chicago Fire season 10?
Chicago Fire will celebrate reaching its 200th episode in season 10. While we don’t yet know how many episodes there’ll be in the new season, the hope is that it will return to the 20+ episodes to which we’ve become accustomed, rather than the 16 that we had in season 9. The first episode of season 10 is titled “Mayday”, a clear reference to the season 9 cliffhanger finale. As such, we’ll soon be finding out the fate of Lieutenant Kelly Severide and the Squad who are trapped on a capsized boat on Lake Michigan.
Who is in the cast of Chicago Fire season 10?
We can expect to see the return of Jesse Spencer as Matthew Casey, Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide, David Eigenberg as Christopher Herrmann, Eamonn Walker as Wallace Boden, Kara Killmer as Sylvie Brett, Daniel Kyri as Darren Ritter, Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd, Joe Minoso as Joe Cruz, Alberto Rosende as Blake Gallo, Christian Stolte as Randy McHolland, and Hanako Greensmith as Violet Mikami. However, Adriyan Rae left the show during season 9 so we won’t be seeing the return of her character, Gianna Mackey.
