ProtonVPN is best-know for its free plan, which it claims to offer due to a belief in privacy as a fundamental human right. While this is commendable, the free plan is unfortunately no good for streaming. It’s not very fast, and it doesn’t let users choose which country they connect to.

The paid plan, however, gives you access to a vast network of 13,000 servers in 122 countries. Users can connect straight to Italy by selecting it from the map on the app’s dashboard.

Alternatively, they can use the drop-down menu in the country list to choose between any of the servers in Milan or Palermo.
