While it’s possible to use a free VPN to get an IP address for Mexico, I always advise caution when it comes to free VPNs as they can present several problems. For example, free VPNs tend to have a small network of servers and very few, if any, in Mexico, plus large numbers of users, which leads to the servers becoming overwhelmed. The result is slower speeds and inconsistent connections. Indeed, many VPNs limit your bandwidth in an attempt to manage this.

Streaming Mexican TV shows and movies with a free VPN can be frustrating, with extensive buffering and lag commonplace. Yet just as important as the performance of the VPN is the level of security it can provide.
