What this article fails to mention is that DSTV continuously blocks VPN IP Blocks and as such renders your VPN useless. If you plan on watching sport over the weekend you can go and test your VPN during the week and all will work only to find on the Saturday that DSTV has blocked that range of IP’s. You can then email your VPN provider to assist in generating a new range, which generally takes a week. Again making the use of the VPN redundant.
VPN’s have now rolled out dedicated IP’s which circumvents the above mentioned issues however DSTV has now found a way to reduce the streaming quality to those IP’s. When live streaming the quality is close to 420p.
